settled for less
To Whom it May Concern:
As an avid and frequent regular to The Pharmacy, I am not posting this to oppose anyone from visiting. I have, time and time again, been extremely pleased with the food, which is why I return.
Last night, although my sweet potato fries came out excellent (usually as always), I left with a bitter and less than remarkable taste in my mouth.
Seated as a party of 10, we were seated at a table, squished in the 8th person (and thanked heavens the 9th and 10th didn’t show up as they would have had to sit elsewhere), and were hurridly rushed through our orders as our waitress rolled her eyes every time she had to say, “I can’t hear you.” (as she stood on the opposite end of the table). Not once did any of us get a warm, welcome feel as she never smiled, never acted with a ‘server’ attitude, and made us ALL feel like she was doing US a favor by being there. Upon trying to lighten the mood, one of our guests smiled to her and said, “I’m sorry we’re being difficult” <—-guests way of saying, “really? Cheer up, Lady.” To which our waitress responded, “It’s okay”.
It’s okay?!?!?! A simple, “You aren’t being difficult! This is what I do!” would have sufficed, considering we were trying to be anything BUT high maintainance because of how uncomfortable we all felt.
All this to say, I have had numerous run ins with this particular server and if we sit in her section again, words might have to be exchanged with the manager as this isn’t the first time she’s acted like this.
The food is what keeps me coming back. Not the service. Just food for thought… we’re in Nashville. And we’re proud of our southern hospitality here. Let’s show it……
Thanks for listening.
